    The standings are based on those teams that are playing now. When the west coast schools are in full swing, the east coast is done with snow covering the fields. So you have to have 2 completely different sets of standings every year, each based on the entirely different seasons the schools are playing. Does someone then take the records of both groups and try to arrange a final top 25 standing when the east and west coast seasons are done?

    Also, the article stipulates that these are the "high school fall" top 25 high school teams.
