While 11 players are coming from MLS residency/academy programs, mention should be made of FC Edmonton's contribution to this squad. Only Toronto FC has contributed more players to this squad than Edmonton. When it comes to development of domestic talent, FC Edmonton is doing as good if not better job than any of the Canadian MLS teams.
