A new-look Real Madrid could present a stiff challenge to Barcelona's efforts at a third successive La Liga title, Barca sports director Txiki Beguiristain conceded. "We are conscious of our own
strengths but also of the difficulties we face with the new management now in place at Real Madrid," he said on Barcelona's Web site. So far this year, Madrid has added Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson, Ruud
van Nistelrooy, and perhaps most crucially, former Juventus coach Fabio Capello. "Step by step Real are putting together a team, although luckily we have more stability and can start working together
now as our squad is complete." Barcelona has also added three new players to its squad this summer: Eidur Gudjohnsen, who arrived from Chelsea, and Lilian Thuram and Gianluca Zambrotta, both of whom
came from Juventus.
