[MANHATTAN/WORLD CLASS] Two New York area clubs Manhattan SC and World Class FC have reached an agreement in principle to form a strategic partnership that
includes the joint development of U.S. Soccer Development Academy and Elite Club National League teams. In addition, the two programs are working on development plans for the construction of new
playing fields in the metropolitan area.
The alliance will be led by former U.S. U-17 national team coach
Kazbek Tambi (World Class director of
coaching) and
Ray Selvadurai (Manhattan SC director of coaching).
Manhattan SC has an enrollment of more than 1,000 players. World Class FC, located in Rockland County,
is part of the Orangetown Mighty Midgets Athletic Association, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2013.
