[VIDEO PICK: FIFA] FIFA President
Sepp Blatter certainly knows how to hog the limelight. His recent appearance at the
Oxford Union stirred an international controversy when he responded to the moderator's last question: "
Lionel Messi or
Cristiano Ronaldo?" Blatter described Messi as "a good boy every father and mother would like to have." As for Ronaldo ...
Blatter, who began his response by saying that
Zlatan Ibrahimovic should be considered in the same category as Messi and Ronaldo, did an impersonation of the seemingly robotic Real Madrid star and made
reference to his having "more expenses for the hairdresser" than Messi. Blatter couldn't say was best but he concluded by saying he preferred Messi.
Real Madrid demanded an apology,
the Portugal soccer federation described the comments as "unfit and inappropriate" and Ronaldo issued sarcastic posts on his Twitter and Facebook pages.
Blatter later tweeted an apology
for his "light-hearted answer" at a "private event," and by Tuesday night, the segment on YouTube had more than 900,000 views ...
Blatter has proven himself an idiot repeatedly, remember his stupid comment (among many) "...perhaps the women should wear shorter, shorts" to attract more attention. Add to it the MANY issues of corruption during his ?leadership? and you must wonder. How/Why is he still in that position?
John, its simple: he is in that position because most of the FIFA upper crust is also corrupt!
