Lionel Messi Management, the company that looks after the Barcelona star’s affairs, released a long statement on Thursday with the intent of clearing up speculation about hiscurrent hamstring injury and a reported broken relationship with Barca’s medical staff, particularly Juanjo Brau, the man who was Messi’s personal fitness coach over thelast several years. The statement claimed, among other things, that the decision to bring over Argentine specialist Luis Garcia to oversee Messi’s recovery process was not asleight to Brau or anyone else at Barca, and that the reports of breakdown in the relationship between Brau and Messi are false, mostly because Brau was promoted and no longer works day-to-day withthe Argentina captain.
