English Pemier League referee Mike Riley has apologized to West Brom head coach Steve Clarke for the controversial last-minute penalty he awarded to Chelsea atStamford Bridge earlier this month that earned the Blues a 2-2 draw. Clarke tells West Brom’s Web site that Riley called to apologize for the call that led to the penalty, which was for acollision involving Steven Reid and Ramires.
