How the USA trounced England

[VIDEO PICK: Golazos] Joe Gallardo scored a hat trick and Haji Wright scored twice in Wednesday's 5-1 win by the U.S. U-17s over England, whose Marcus Edwards scored with a finely placed free kick.

The Americans, who fell 2-1 in their first game to Portugal, face Brazil on Friday in their final game of the Nike friendlies in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

England, which lost, 2-1, to Brazil in its opener, showed some good stuff against the USA in game that featured 38 shots but started fading after a missed second-half penalty kick and a shot cleared off the line.

The English and their long ball style are inferior, we are supposed to beat a low technical skill team like that.

Only caught the highlights of this and the Brazil game, so limited data to go on. But, Gallardo and Wright seem very comfortable with the ball and composed in the box - good signs. Worth keeping an eye on this team.
