[MEN’S COACHING MOVES] After 24 seasons, 217 victories and three NCAA Tournament appearances, Gary St. Clair announced hisretirement as San Jose State head coach.

St. Clair, a two-time Coach of the Year, is one of only two Spartan men’s head coaches to record 200 or more victories. His 217-victorytotal only trails the late Julius Menendez, whom St. Clair played for as a goalkeeper.

He led San Jose State to the NCAA Tournament in 1998, 2000and 2003. The 1998 team made the Spartans’ first appearance in national postseason play in 22 years.

— SIUE head coach Kevin Kalish will step downfrom his current role at the end of the calendar year to become the technical director for St. Louis Scott Gallagher Missouri.

Kalish has been a member of the SIUE coaching staff for thepast 14 seasons, the last six as head coach.
