West Brom on Saturday fired head coach Steve Clarke after the club suffered its fourth successive defeat in a 1-0 loss to Cardiff City, which left the club just two points abovethe relegation zone. The club on Saturday said that the decision by its board to remove the Scot and assistant Kevin Keen had been unanimous. Clarke had guided West Brom to an eighth place finish inthe Premier League last season.
