Beasley's move to Queretaro is off

[AMERICANS ABROAD] A week after it announced the acquisition of DaMarcus Beasley from Puebla, Mexican club Queretaro stated the deal had fallen through.

The announcement came in a release Tuesday that Uruguayan Diego Guastavino had rejoined the team from Peruvian club Universitario.

“DaMarcus Beasley will not play for our team," the Queretaro release stated, "as he has decided to suit up for another club.”

Wednesday is the last day of Mexico's winter transfer window for domestic moves.
