Mizuno cleats hit U.S. market

Mizuno, the century-old Japanese company that entered the U.S. market in 1961 and has specialized in several sports including golf, baseball, football and track & field, has launched a line of soccer cleats for the U.S. market.

Mizuno USA, located in Norcross, Ga., partnered with the NASL’s Atlanta Silverbacks to wear-test the cleats and acquire player feedback before release.

“Our growing reputation as a top cleat overseas has driven the demand and interest to have our cleats available to U.S. consumers,” said Ahmet Abaci, VP of Brand Marketing and Management.

Among the players wearing Mizuno cleats are Hulk, Arsenal's Carl Jenkinson and Japan's Keisuke Honda.

The Morelia Neo Made in Japan (MIJ), Morelia II (MIJ), Morelia Neo and Wave Ignitus 3 are sold online.
