Press leads all Americans with 35 goals

[2013 IN REVIEW] Christen Press, who led the Swedish Damallsvenskan in scoring with 23 goals for second-place Tyreso, led all American women with 35 goals in all competitions in 2013. The top five goal scorers all played for the U.S. women's national team in 2013.

Three players who scored 15 or more goals played exclusively abroad: Beverly Goebel-Yanez, who recently completed the Japanese league and cup double with INAC Kobe Leonessa, Bayern Munich's Sarah Hagen, who was called into the December women's national team camp, and Monica Dolinsky, who helped Aland United with the Finnish league title.
