The U.S. under-17 women’s national team will begin its 2014 work with an eight-day training beginning Saturday at the U.S. Soccer National
Training Center in Carson, Calif. The U-17s failed to qualify for the Under-17 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica in March but will continue work under head coach B.J.
before a new U-17 cycle begins.
The training camp will serve as a preparation event for a four-team U-17 international tournament currently being finalized to be held in
Carson Feb. 1-10.
Of the 24 players for this January camp, 15 were on the U.S. team that failed to qualify for the U-17 Women’s World Cup despite winning four games, tying one
