Fields are set for four preseason tournaments

[MLS 2014 COUNTDOWN] The fields for the four MLS preseason tournaments are set with the announcement that Brazilian club Fluminense's U-23s will play at the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic. All but the LA Galaxy and FC Dallas will compete in one of the four tournaments that extend over the final two weeks of the preseason.

The young team from Flu, which was relegated to the Brazilian second division, will be joined by six MLS teams and Orlando City at at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Orlando City will play its last year in USL PRO in 2014 before moving to MLS.

Along with the Disney tournament, the Carolina Challenge Cup, Rose City Invitational and FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup will serve as the final tests for MLS teams before they open the 2014 season on March 8.

REPORT. How much did other MLS teams bid for Michael Bradley? Goal.com reported on Monday that Sporting Kansas City offered $40 million while Colombus and Philadelphia each offered $15 million. None matched Toronto FCs outlay of excess in $45 million in salary and transfer for the Roma midfielder.

HOMEGROWN WATCH. The Chicago Fire signed its second homegrown player of the offseason, reaching a deal with 23-year-old Northwestern midfielder Chris Ritter, who scored 14 goals and 13 assists in his four seasons with the Wildcats. Ritter, a fifth-year senior, was the 2012 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

COMBINE FINALES. The adidas MLS Player Combine concludes Tuesday with the third pair of games in Lauderhill, Fla. The morning kickoffs will allow players, coaches and agents to head up to Philadelphia ahead of Thursday's MLS SuperDraft.
