USA pounds Guatemala 10-0

[CONCACAF UNDER-20 WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP] The USA closed out group play at the Concacaf Under-20 Women's Championship in the Cayman Islands with a 10-0 win over Guatemala. It moves into Friday's semifinals against Mexico or Trinidad & Tobago as the Group A winner with three wins by a margin of 19-0. Boston College's McKenzie Meehan had a hat trick, and UConn midfielder Rachel Hill had a goal and four assists.

Two berths in the Under-20 Women's World Cup will be on the line in the semifinals (live on Fox Soccer Plus and Fox Soccer 2 Go).

The USA had already clinched a berth in the final four with 6-0 and 3-0 wins over Costa Rica and Jamaica, respectively.

The USA, which outshot Guatemala 29-0, rested several regular starters as Stanford goalkeeper Jane Campbell made her first start of the tournament for the USA, while Cardinal teammates Stephanie Amack and Laura Liedle, along with Midge Purce and Meehan were also handed their first starts of the competition.

All 20 players on the roster have now seen action in the tournament with Campbell, Liedle, UCLA midfielder Lauren Kaskie and Penn State forward Mallory Weber making their debuts against Guatemala.

Only Notre Dame star Cari Roccaro, who is in her second U-20 cycle, has played all 270 minutes of the tournament so far.
