[SOCCER AMERICA AWARDS] Scotsman Bobby Clark, who coached Notre Dame to the 2013 national championship, is Soccer America’s2013 Men’s Coach of the Year.

Notre Dame defeated Maryland, 2-1, to conclude the campaign with a 17-1-6 record. After suffering its lone loss of the season on Oct. 26 to Virginia (2-0),the Fighting Irish went 9-0-1 during the season-ending stretch and won in their first trip to the College Cup.

Clark came to Notre Dame in 2001 after stints at Dartmouth and Stanford witha spell as New Zealand national team coach in between. He completed his 27th season as a college head coach with a career mark of 323-132-66.
