USA qualifies again for world championship

[CONCACAF UNDER-20 WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP] The USA kept its record intact of having qualified for every Under-20 Women's World Cup with a 6-0 win in the semifinals of the Concacaf U-20 Women's Championship. The absence of star Lindsey Horan, who returned to France, was not felt as USA got a pair of goals each from Boston College's McKenzie Meehan and Stanford defender Stephanie Amack.

First Round:
USA-Guatemala:
10-0
USA-Jamaica: 3-0
USA-Costa Rica: 6-0

Meehan and Savannah Jordan, the Soccer America Freshman of the Year, put the USA up 2-0 against Trinidad & Tobago and then high school senior Andi Sullivan set up Amack for two goals to make it 4-0 at the half. Sub Mallory Weber from Penn State and Meehan added goals in the second half.

Horan had returned to French club Paris St. Germain for its match against Lyon on Sunday.

The USA will play Mexico, a 3-1 winner over Costa Rica, in Sunday's championship match. The USA, Mexico and Costa Rica-Trinidad & Tobago winner will be the Concacaf representatives at the Under-20 Women's World Cup later this year in Canada.

Sunday's game against Mexico on Sunday will air of Fox Soccer Plus and Fox Soccer 2GO at 7 p.m. ET.
