U.S. U-18s fall to Spain on late goal

[COPA DEL ATLANTICO] The USA fell to Spain, 1-0, on a late goal in their opening game at the 40th edition of the U-18 Copa del Atlantico in the Canary Islands.

The Americans had their chances, but Atletico Madrid goalie Carlos Morales was outstanding for Spain kept them off the scoreboard. Spain won on a goal by Sevilla's Curro in the 87th minute.

In Tuesday's first game, Argentina beat a Canary Islands select team, 4-0. The USA faces Argentina Wednesday and closes out play against the Canary Islands on Friday.
