[MLS 2014 COUNTDOWN] Chivas USA picked up its first win of the MLS preseason on Monday morning when it beat the USL PRO Orange County (formerly LA) Blues,
2-0, on goals by rookie midfielder
Thomas McNamara out of Clemson and
Matthew Fondy, who joined Chivas USA late in the
2013 season from the Blues.

came in the first half as McNamara scored on a rebound and Fondy scored his second goal in two games off a cross from
Mauro Rosales.
FC TUCSON-HOUSTON. The Houston Dynamo got goals from
Bryan Ownby and
Omar Cummings --
both with blasts from more than 30 yards -- to beat the PDL's FC Tucson, 2-0, in their preseason match Monday in Tucson, Ariz.

Lisch, a third-round draft pick out of New Mexico, preserved the shutout with a save on a penalty kick by
Jason Romero in the 64th minute. Houston
fielded close to a first team to start the match, its final preseason game before returning to Houston.
FC DALLAS-BK HACKEN. FC Dallas fell 3-1 in its
second game against FC Hacken of its stay in the United Arab Emirates.
Fabian Castillo had the lone goal for FCD, which had beaten the Swedish club, 3-0, on
Friday.

Josema Bazan, an FC Dallas academy coach since April 2011, has been promoted to an assistant coaching position with the FC
Dallas first team, the club announced today.
“In the same way that we look for talented players in our academy to sign Homegrown contracts with the first team, we want to promote
our most talented coaches from within our system,” said FC Dallas technical director
Fernando Clavijo. “We are very excited to have Josema join the
first team. I believe he has a lot to offer as a coach at the professional level.”
