[USL PRO 2014 COUNTDOWN] LA Galaxy II, the LA Galaxy's new pro club, won its first game, beating the PDL's Fresno Fuego, 2-1, thanks to goals by
Travis Bowen and
Raul Mendiola on Thursday night at Chukchansi Park.
Bowen, is the older brother of former Galaxy Homegrown player
Tristan Bowen, now with Seattle. Two current Galaxy first-team Homegrown players,
Oscar Sorto and
Jack McBean, teamed up to set up Mendiola for the second goal.
Galaxy II brought four academy players, and they all played, including Fresno product

Curt Onalfo also brought on Frenchman
Laurent Courtois, who played for the Galaxy in 2013 and will serve as a player-assistant
coach for Galaxy II in 2014 during the USL PRO season.
