U.S. WOMEN ABROAD (March 21): Augustyniaks advance to German Cup final

Nancy Augustyniak played 90 minutes for the third successive game, this time on the backline, as German League leader FFC Turbine Potsdam blitzed host FFC Brauweiler Pulheim, 3-0, on Sunday in a German Cup semifinal.

Petra Wimbersky scored two goals for Turbine, which will meet FFC Frankfurt in the May 29 final in Berlin.

Augustyniak had played in midfield in her first three matches for Turbine. Her twin sister, Julie, came on as a second-half substitute for the third straight game.

There was only one Frauen-Bundelisliga game scheduled this weekend, with FFC Frankfurt edging FFC Heike Rheine, 3-2, to trim Turbine's lead to two points.
