Columbus and Sporting KC earn second wins

[MLS PRESEASON: Disney Pro Classic] Federico Higuain's penalty kick in the 88th minute gave the Columbus Crew a 1-0 win over the Philadelphia to open the second day of play at the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic, whose start was delayed an hour by inclement weather. The only other unbeaten and untied team is Sporting Kansas City, which beat Brazilian club Fluminense's U-23 team, 3-0.

The Crew win was its third in three preseason games. The game marked the debut of Costa Rican international Giancarlo Gonzalez, who signed with the team from his club in Norway on Friday.

Paulo Nagamura had two goals, Jimmy Medranda had a goal and an assist and Claudio Bieler had two assists in the Sporting Kansas City win.

New York earned its first three points of the Disney Classic with a 3-0 win over the Montreal Impact thanks to goals by Roy Miller, Ruben Bover and Bradley Wright-Phillips.
