[SEEN AROUND TOWN] While his former Stoke City teammate Geoff Cameron was off to Dubai, Maurice Edu joined his new buds on the Philadelphia Union at the Daytona 500. The Houston Dynamo got up close with an alligator at training in Charleston, while a goat celebrated in Tucson. Back in Los Angeles, fans are counting the days until the 2014 MLS openers.

A DAY AT DAYTONA. Maurice Edu joined this new Philadelphia Union teammates on their Sunday off from preseason training to attend the rain-shortened Daytona 500.



NO ... This wasn't the Houston Dynamo's punishment for the 2-0 loss to D.C. United Saturday night at the Carolina Challenge Cup. An alligator pond lies next door to the Charleston Battery's Blackbaud Stadium training field.



VIVA CHIVA USA. Chivas USA isn't dead yet. It remained unbeaten in preseason with a 3-2 comeback win over New England on Saturday, scoring three unanswered goals to overcome an early 2-0 deficit.
