[SOCCER BUSINESS] D.C. United reached a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Washington area defense contractor Leidos to be its new jersey company.
The Reston,Va.-based Leidos, which replaces Volkswagen, was formerly known as SAIC. It works in the fields of national security, health and engineering solutions and is considered a top employer in
the Washington area with 23,000 employees.
"Soccer is a growing, global sport and we are a growing company with our eyes on the future," said Leidos chairman and CEO John Jumper in a statement. "This sponsorship will help enable us to get exposure not only locally, but throughout the country and internationally."
A defense contractor? I sure won't be watching any DC games!
Get over yourself
