[MLS 2014 COUNTDOWN] Toronto FC has sold out its quota of season-ticket packages, capped at 17,000 for the 2014 season. The rush for season tickets picked up
following the signing of
Michael Bradley and
Jermain Defoe in January as more than 2,000 packages were sold in the week
following the blockbuster signings.

Last season, Toronto had slashed season ticket prices after another poor season
-- it has failed to make the playoffs in each of its seven seasons in MLS -- and sold 14,600 season tickets.
Nine game packages are still available, and purchasers will be offered
priority access to 2015 ticket packages. Single game tickets for the club’s first six home matches go on sale Wednesday. Toronto FC opens at BMO Field March 22 against D.C. United. Fans can also
joining the waiting list for 2015 ticket packages.
Toronto attendance held steady for its first five seasons, but it dropped more than 2,000 fans a
game the last two seasons to a record low average of 18,131 in 2013, putting it in the middle of the league in terms of average attendance.
