[MLS 2014 COUNTDOWN] Seattle and Chivas USA concluded MLS’s second intraleague loan deal as the Sounders sent forward EriqZavaleta to Chivas USA for the 2014 season. Per intraleague loan rules, Zavaleta cannot play against Seattle this year.
Zavaleta, 21, helped Indiana win the 2012 NCAADivision I title and left after his sophomore season to sign a Generation adidas contract. He made five appearances for Sounders in his rookie campaign in 2013. He was previously loaned to the NASLSan Antonio Scorpions for a month.
