, whom they brought into preseason and who
could start at right back in place of Steven Beitashour

Early in his career, Goerlitz, now 32, played for Bayern
Munich and made two appearances for the German national team before a knee injury suffered playing for Bayern against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League in 2005 set him back.
returned to play 11 games for Bayern in 2006-07 and two seasons in the Bundesliga with Karlsruhe, but the last five seasons have been spent in the lower divisions playing with Bayern II and

United acquired Seattle Sounders midfielder Alex Caskey
in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Caskey, who played 30 games in two
seasons with Seattle, adds needed depth to the D.C. United.
