Barcelona veteran Carles Puyol on Tuesday confirmed that he would leave the club where he’s spent his whole career at the end of the season after both parties agreed to rescind thefinal two years of his existing contract. The Barca captain, who turns 36 in April, has been hampered by persistent knee problems throughout the current season. He made his debut for the Blaugranaagainst Real Valladolid in 1999.
