Teen Spencer joins Indy Eleven from Molde

[NASL 2014 COUNTDOWN] The expansion Indy Eleven has signed 18-year-old forward Ben Spencer on a season-long loan from Norway's Molde, where he made his first-team debut in 2013. It also announced the addition of 20-year-old midfielder Corby Moore from Southampton.

The 6-foot-5 Spencer, who grew up in New Mexico, had spent time in the RSL AZ and Chivas USA academies before foregoing a college scholarship at UC Santa Barbara to sign with Molde. He made his professional debut in a 4-0 win over Valerenga in September 2013.

"We were fortunate to catch Ben when we did," said Indy coach Jurgen Sommer. "After a good 10 days of training with us in Orlando, we feel really good about bringing him on board. He's a very big, athletic striker, yet he's still very mobile and has great feet. Ben brings us a different type of attacking option and he's going to be a great addition to the team."

Moore, who joined Indy Eleven on a two-year deal, made one appearance for the Saints' first team in the League Cup in 2012.

"We first identified Corby in December at Southampton during a scouting trip to England and from there he joined us in Arizona," said Sommer. "With Corby, we are getting a player who is technically very sound, tactically very sharp and has wonderful vision that will be a huge lift to our attack. He's got a bright future with us and we're very excited to have him."
