Mourinho to Dispute Improper Conduct Charge

Jose Mourinho on Friday indicated that he would contest the improper conduct charge he received from the English FA for re-entering the field of play during stoppage at the end of Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa. The Portuguese was sent to the stands by referee Chris Foy after he re-entered the field seeking clarification from Foy following Ramires’ sending off for a late challenge on Karim el Ahmadi. It was the second time the Chelsea coach has been dismissed this season, following an incident during his side's victory over Cardiff City last October which saw him accept an 8,000-pound ($13,200) fine.
