Dayton falls in first interleague match

[USL PRO: Week 2] New York Red Bulls Reserves won the first matchup of the season between MLS reserve teams and USL PRO opposition, getting three second-half goals in 15 minutes for a 3-0 win over Dayton.

Second-year pro Michael Bustamante, draft pick Eric Stevenson out of Akron and Homegrown player Matt Miazga scored for the Red Bulls' reserves in a game that followed New York's 1-1 tie with Chivas USA.

scored with nine minutes remaining to salvage a 1-1 tie for LA Galaxy II with Sacramento Republic FC. Captain Justin Braun scored on a header in the first half for Republic FC, which was making its USL PR debut

-- Defending champion Orlando City drew for its second straight match, settling for a 1-1 tie with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Luke Boden's equalizer in the 58th minute. Striker Jose Angulo hit the crossbar in the first half before putting the Riverhounds ahead in the 48th minute.

The Charleston Battery and Richmond Kickers played to a 2-2 draw in front of 3,254 fans at Blackbaud Stadium. George Davis IV scored twice on his debut for Richmond, while midfielder Jarad van Schaik led the way for the Battery, scoring in the 22nd minute and assisting Amadou Sanyang’s goal in the 58th minute.
