Indy Eleven and FC Edmonton fall to MLS reserves

[NASL 2014 COUNTDOWN] NASL clubs Indy Eleven and FC Edmonton fell to MLS clubs Chicago and Vancouver in preseason action on Tuesday. The Fire took a 3-0 lead at the half before prevailing, 3-1, while the 'Caps won, 4-2, in a match that saw four goals scored in the first 17 minutes. Both clubs didn't start their starters from MLS action over the weekend

Lovel Palmer, Juan Luis Anangono and Chris Rolfe, playing his last game for Chicago before his trade to D.C. United, scored for Chicago. Brazilian World Cup champion Kleberson came on the second half for Indy and scored from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute in the match played in West Lafayette, Ind.

Kekuta Manneh had two goals and an assist, Sebastian Fernandez had a goal and two assists, while Erik Hurtado had a goal and assist for Vancouver. Tomi Ameobi scored both goals for Edmonton, which has been training in Vancouver.

On Monday night, the Tampa Bay Rowdies closed out their 2014 preseason Monday with a spirited 1-1 draw against Icelandic top-flight club Valur in Bradenton, Fla. The Rowdies took a 1-0 lead just before the halftime break on an own goal. Valur FC equalized in the 77th minute on a penalty kick converted by Magnus Luoviksson.
