The Czech Republic became the first team to qualify for the quarterfinals when it beat the Netherlands, 3-2, Saturday coming back from two goals down. Germany tied Latvia, 0-0, in Group D.
In Group B, defending champion France had to settle for a 2-2 tie with Croatia Friday, and England crushed Switzerland, 3-0.
