U.S. WOMEN ABROAD (July 18-29): Rachel Kruze scores in Iceland

Former Philadelphia Charge defender Rachel Kruze scored in her second Icelandic League appearance, contributing the fifth goal in IBV's 7-1 romp at FH.

Kruze, a former West Virginia University standout, tallied in the 76th minute as IBV (6-1-2) remained five points behind Landsbankadeild Kvenna leader Valur (8-0-1). The game was played on July 18, but details weren't posted on the Icelandic Web site until Tuesday.

Mary McVeigh, Kruze's former Charge teammate, played 90 minutes for IBV, which returns to league action on Aug. 6 at home against third-place KR (6-1-2), which last week was runner-up to Slovenia's ZNK Krka Novo Mesto in Group A4 of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Cup.
