New-look Thorns aim for two in a row on road

[NWSL: Week 2] The defending champion Portland Thorns FC remain on the road for the second week in a row, looking to make it two straight with a match at Sky Blue FC on Saturday night. The Thorns opened with a 1-0 win at the expansion Houston Dash despite missing many of its stars.

Alex Morgan is still sidelined with an ankle injury, and Tobin Heath and recent signing Veronica Boquete are still in Europe. Just four starters from the team that beat Western New York in the 2013 NWSL final started at Houston: Canadian star Christine Sinclair, Nikki Marshall, Angie Kerr and Allie Long.

Coach Paul Riley's lineup at Houston included a pair of rookies: Emily Menges (Georgetown) and Courtney Niemiec (LaSalle)
