Diskerud starts first game, Kljestan remains on bench

[AMERICANS ABROAD] Mix Diskerud earned his first start of the Tippeligaen season, going the distance as Rosenborg played to a 2-2 tie at Bodo/Glimt, the northern outpost of Norwegian soccer.

The U.S. World Cup hopeful had made only two appearances off the bench in Rosenborg's first three games.

Michael Stephens started for Coach Bob Bradley's Stabaek, which dropped its second straight game -- 2-1 loss at Odds -- after opening with two wins. The loss dropped Stabaek to eighth place, one spot below Rosenborg.

In Belgium, Sacha Kljestan remained on the bench again as Anderlecht fell 1-0 at short-handed Genk. The loss kept the two-time defending champions four points behind leader Standard Liege in fourth place through five games of the 10-game Belgian championship playoffs.

In England's League Championship, Oguchi Onyewu started for Sheffield Wednesday, which dropped a 3-2 decision to visiting Charlton after leading 2-0, while Will Packwood started in place of Jonathan Spector at right back in relegation-threatened Birmingham City's 4-2 loss to Blackburn.
