Seattle Reign looks like the real deal

[NWSL: Week 3] Sydney Leroux didn't score, and Megan Rapinoe didn't play, but that didn't stop the Seattle Reign from defeating the Washington Spirit, 3-1 on Wednesday evening for its second straight win. First-place Seattle looks like it is the real deal even though it drew just 1,754 fans on a damp evening for its second game since its move to Memorial Stadium.

The Reign opened the scoring quickly as defender Kendall Fletcher put it ahead in just the third minute off a Jess Fishlock assist.

Keelin Winters scored off Naho Kawasumi's corner kick to make it 2-0 in the 48th minute and Fishlock wrapped up the Seattle scoring in the 80th minute to ice the win after Diana Matheson's penalty kick made it 2-1 in the 73rd minute.

    Does the silence concerning TV mean there won't be any this year? Such a shame. Given the amount of trash that NBCSN and FS1 run, you'd think they could fit a one match in a week. Maybe Addidas and Nike haven't noticed how many girls and women in this country play soccer??

    Unfortunately the women who play soccer don't watch it on TV. The tiny ratings for women's soccer in the US are mostly men looking for some soccer on TV. The second problem is the oversaturation of soccer on TV now. You cant turn on your cable TV without seeing a Mexican, European or MLS match on. Woman's games will always finish behind those options, unless its a World Cup.
