FSI draws top two UEFA Champions League audiences

[SOCCER ON THE AIR] Fox Sports 1 set a new viewing record for its coverage of the UEFA Champions League on back-to-back days.

Tuesday’s 0-0 draw between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid averaged 450,000 viewers, a Fox Sports 1 record, but Wednesday’s game between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, called by Gus Johnson and Eric Wynalda in Madrid, attracted 511,000 viewers.

It is the biggest audience for a UEFA Champions League semifinal on any Fox channel since the Bayern Munich-Real Madrid match (627,000 viewers on FX) two years ago.
