[MLS: The USA 20] Just three weeks remaining before U.S. World Cup players leave their MLS clubs and head off to training camp at Stanford. But that doesn't mean
all players have games this weekend as four have bye weeks. Toronto FC's
Michael Bradley used the two-week gap between games to undergo a foot procedure planned
since preseason.
Bradley had just returned to action last weekend after being sidelined with quadriceps and groin issues. The surgery was done to repair a nerve issue in his foot.
Of the USA 20's walking wounded in MLS,
Brad Davis could return to action Sunday against Portland. He didn't dress Wednesday for the Dynamo's 4-0 loss at
New York that extended its winless streak to five games. He hasn't played since spraining his ankle against FC Dallas on April 5.
Bill Hamid, who
injured his foot in warmups before the USA-Mexico game on April 2, could also return to action with D.C. United. In his absence, though, United is 2-0-1 with
Andrew
Dykstra in goal.
Real Salt Lake's
Luis Gil has been bothered by a painful hamstring injury. His status for Saturday's match against
Vancouver is uncertain.
