[USL PRO: Week 6] Sacramento Republic FC almost doubled the USL PRO attendance record for a regular-season game when it drew a sellout crowd of 20,231 fans at
Hughes Stadium Saturday night for its first home game, a 2-1 loss to Harrisburg.
Orlando City set the USL PRO regular-season record with 10,697 at the Florida Citrus Bowl in August 2013.
Republic FC will play at Hughes Stadium until its new facility being built at Cal Expo opens on June 7.
A sellout crowd of 3,741 was also on hand at Pribil Stadium to welcome OKC Energy
FC, which dropped a 2-1 decision to first-place Orlando City.
-- Charlotte's 2-0 win at Wilmington left Orlando City as the lone unbeaten team.
Friday night ... A bye week meant that the Chicago Fire loaded up on first-team regulars for the Reserves' trip to Charlotte, where they rallied from an early two-goal
deficit to defeat the Eagles, 3-2. DP
Juan Luis Anangono had a pair of goals and
Quincy Amarikwa added the third after
the Eagles took the lead on goals by
Zak Boggs and
Jorge Herrera.
