NASL Team of the Week

[AWARDS] Brazilian forward Oliver, who scored scored twice and had one assist in Ottawa's 4-0 victory over Carolina, is the first Fury player named the NASL Player of the Week. For the NASL Team of the Week.

The 21-year-old Oliver, who came from second division Velo Clube in the Sao Paulo state championship, scored his first of two goals against the RailHawks off a corner kick from Philippe Davies. Oliver, who also spent three seasons with Portuguese club Nacional, then assisted Davies before completing his day by heading home the Fury's final goal.

NASL Team of the Week:
Goalkeeper
Matt Van Oekel, Minnesota – Earned his third victory and second shutout of the season for United.

Defenders
Ivan Guerrero, Fort Lauderdale – Honduran had two assists for the Strikers.
Julius James, San Antonio – Trinidad & Tobago native was solid on Scorpions backline.
Erick Norales, Indy Eleven – Honduran scored for a second consecutive week from his defensive position.

Midfielders
Philippe Davies, Ottawa – Canadian had a goal and an assist in the Fury FC’s first NASL victory.
Blair Gavin, Atlanta – Dished out two assists and was key factor in the midfield.
Junior Sandoval, Atlanta – Honduran had the first tally for the Silverbacks’ second consecutive game.
Kevin Venegas, Minnesota – Pushed forward on the attack and defended well for United.

Forwards
Danny Barrera, San Antonio – Colombian helped create the winning tally for the Scorpions.
Marius Ebbers, Fort Lauderdale – German’s first NASL goal becomes the game-winner against Indy Eleven.
Oliver, Ottawa – Brazilian notched two goals and had an assist in the victory over the RailHawks.
