U.S. collegians and U-17s called up for friendly

[CANADA WOMEN] Twelve of the 21 players on the Canada roster for Thursday's international friendly against the USA in Winnipeg hail from the NWSL, but John Herdman's squad also includes three U.S. collegians and two members of Canada's 2014 U-17 World Cup team.

The match at Investors Group Field will be shown live on ESPN3 and espnW.com at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. local)

Included in the squad are five players who could see action this summer at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada this summer: Sura Yekka, Ashley Lawrence, Jessie Fleming, Kadeisha Buchanan and Rebecca Quinn.

Yekka and Fleming were members of Canada’s U-17 team in Costa Rica. Lawrence and Buchanan play college soccer at West Virginia while Quinn is at Duke.
