[MLS INJURY REPORT]
Argentine Mauro Diaz
, one of MLS's top players during the first two months of the season, will miss 6-10 weeks after he will
undergo surgery on his right knee.
The absence is less than what was feared as there had been rumors he'd miss the rest of the season with the injury picked up in the 4-1 loss at D.C.
United April 26. He was also absent from the 1-0 loss to New York that dropped FC Dallas to 5-3-1 after it began the season at 5-1-1.
Diaz, 23, was signed last summer from River Plate and
was tied this season for the Dallas lead in goals with three and led the team with three assists.
