Free clinic program expanded

[NATIONAL GUARD CLINICS] SoccerAmericaNet and SoccerNation News are again teaming up with the Army National Guard to host skill development clinics free for soccer players ages 15-19.

The program continues May 15 as Laguna United FC hosts a clinic led by Carrie Taylor at Alicia Soccer & Skate Park in Laguna Niguel, Calif. The clinic will also feature college coaches from UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, University of Redlands and Santiago Canyon College.

Free Registration and clinic details: here

Clinics have been hosted by two-time U.S. World Cup player Paul Caligiuri, World Cup and Olympic champion Shannon MacMillan, former U.S. national futsal team captain Sean Bowers and Fox Sports commentator and former English international Warren Barton.

These free clinics are a part of the Army National Guard’s Grassroots Soccer (GRS) program. The goal is to prepare youth players for success at college. The Army National Guard's Grassroots Soccer program was created to inform and educate high school-age soccer players, their parents and coaches on how joining the Guard can assist them with reaching their goals.

The Army National Guard is sponsoring the clinics as well as providing lunch and T-shirts for all the players. College coaches will also be on-site at selected clinics to help answer questions and train players. The free clinics are for ages 15-19.
