Spurs Fires Sherwood

As expected, Tottenham Hotspur on Monday fired coach Tim Sherwood after just five months in charge. In a statement, Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy revealed that Sherwood’s 18-month contract at White Hart Lane contained a break clause at the end of the season that the club decided to exercise. Sherwood took over for Andre Villas-Boas, whom the club fired in December after failing to crack the EPL’s top four.
