Cahill gets equalizer for Australia

[WORLD CUP 2014 FRIENDLIES] New York Red Bulls star Tim Cahill added to his Australia record with his 32nd international goal to give the Socceroos a 1-1 tie with South Africa to open its final preparations for the World Cup. The match drew 50,000 fans at Sydney's Olympic Stadium.

Cahill, playing as a lone striker, scored on a header a minute after Ayanda Patosi put the Bafana Bafana ahead.

-- Romelu Lukaku, expected to start up front in place of injured Christian Benteke, had  a hat trick to lead Belgium to a 5-1 win over Luxembourg.

-- Starting a close-to-full-strength team, Russia edged Slovakia, 1-0, on substitute Alexander Kerzhakov's goal eight minutes from time.
