And now from our Baku bureau ...

[VIDEO PICK: Gaffe] Co-host Stuart Scott pulled one of the great gaffes in "SportsCenter" history late Tuesday night when he introduced Bob Ley for post-game analysis of the USA-Azerbaijan friendly thinking the game on ESPN2 had been played in Azerbaijan. Or at least Ley was somehow in Azerbaijan. Check out the hilarious introduction to the midnight edition of "SportsCenter."

Forget that the ESPN2 crew had just signed off from Candlestick seconds earlier, Scott showed off how little he knew about the USA's World Cup preparations by starting off "SportsCenter" right after the game by going to Ley, which will again host ESPN's World Cup coverage:

"Bob Ley has a passport. And we have passports, too. He used his to get to Azerbaijan. He joins us now from there."

Ley, who was, it appeared, in another ESPN studio, corrected Scott, "The match this evening, guys, was in San Francisco."

"We're ESPN. We don't care. We don't have to."

Watched this last night in disbelief.
