Italy to Does Away with Player Co-Ownership

Italy is the only remaining country in Europe in which two teams are currently still allowed to share a player’s contract, but that may soon change. According to Italian Soccer Association [FIGC] President Giancarlo Abete, Serie A regulations should be brought into line with those around the rest of Europe, although he added that for the time being, existing co-ownership deals would be able to be renewed.
