Italy’s New Jersey-born striker Giuseppe Rossi remains a doubt for the World Cup, Azzurri coach Cesare Prandelli admitted on Thursday. In an interview, Prandelli would not reveal whether Rossi figures into his plans, but said that he admired the Fiorentina striker’s efforts to regain full fitness: “He is a talent with great quality, one of the best in Italy. He is determined, hungry and made a thousand sacrifices to be here and in the running for the World Cup." Rossi scored 17 goals in the 2013/14 season for La Viola, despite further injury problems.
